I am a Research Fellow at the Australian Rivers Institute (Griffith Universality) and an Honorary Research Fellow at La Trobe University. I am the author of "A River with a City Problem: A History of Brisbane Floods", Co-author of "Cities in a Sunburnt Country: Water and the Making of Urban Australia" and co-editor with Scott McKinnon of "Disasters in Australia and New Zealand: Historical Approaches to Understanding Catastrophe".
