Maria Eugenia Lopez Romero

PhD in Education, University of York

Maria Lopez Romero was born in Mexico City, where she completed a degree in Psychology at Universidad Anahuac. She did holds a masters degree in Counselling in Educational Settings from Rowan University (New Jersey, USA), and is awaiting graduation for her PhD degree in Education at the University of York. Maria was a counsellor at LEAP Academy in New Jersey and Fundación Origen in México City. Additionally, she has lectured at Universidad Anahuac and Universidad del Valle de Mexico, and she has been a teaching assistant at the University of York. Maria's research has focused on bullying, the role of bystanders, and gender differences in this social phenomenon.
