Marie Nicole Pareja Cummings

Consulting Scholar, Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology, University of Pennsylvania

Marie Nicole Pareja is currently a Consulting Scholar for the University of Pennsylvania Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology while serving as an adjunct lecturer at both Millersville University and Pennsylvania State University in Harrisburg. She serves as the plasters specialist for Sissi Archaeological Project, Mochlos Archaeological project, and as Project Manager and senior member of the Stelida Naxos Archaeological Project. She is the current co-chair of the Ancient Painting Studies Interest Group of the Archaeological Institute of America together with Hilary Becker of Binghamton University, and she serves as director of the Plasters Analysis Project at the University of Pennsylvania.

Her most recent research interests include materials analysis of Bronze Age Aegean plaster, Bronze Age Aegean color theory, and Indus-Aegean exchange.
