Mariëtte Reyneke

Associate Professor in Education law, University of the Free State

I am an Associate Professor at the University of the Free State, specialising in Education law and Children's rights. I completed my B. Com Law degree (1990) and LLB degree (1992) at the North West University, obtained an LLM degree (cum laude) (2001) at the University of the Free State and graduated with a PhD on an Education law topic at the University of Tilburg in the Netherlands. I was admitted to the Free State bar in 1994. After I joined the University of the Free State I completed the Practical Legal Training course at the School for Legal Practice and passed the admission examination for attorneys (2001). I completed a couple of certificate courses namely on: Child law (2003, UP), Child Justice (2005), Children's Act (2008) and Commercial Mediation Training (2016, UCT).
