Mario Aquino Alves

Mário Aquino Alves holds a degree in Public Administration from Fundação Getulio Vargas - SP (1991), a law degree from the University of São Paulo (1996), a Master's degree in Business Administration from Fundação Getulio Vargas - SP (1996) and a PhD in Business Administration by Getulio Vargas Foundation - SP (2002). He is an Associate Professor in the Department of Public Management at FGV EAESP. He is a member of the Board of Directors and the Executive Comittee of the International Society for Third Sector and the Board of the Center for Studies in Public Administration and Government. With a strong background in Organizational Studies, he conduct research on the following themes: civil society (social movements, third sector, NGOs), corporate social responsibility (private social investment and corporate political action) qualitative research methods (discourse analysis and narrative analysis).
