Marion Hutchinson

Marion Hutchinson joined QUT in 2008 as an Associate Professor in the School of Accountancy. She previously worked as a Senior Lecturer in the Business School at the University of Queensland and the School of Accounting and Finance at Deakin University, and as a lecturer at the Australian National University.

The primary focus of her research is the role of corporate governance on organizational outcomes such as firm performance, financial reporting quality and resource allocation. This area of research is of both national and international importance and has developed in response to the growing concern among stakeholders about the management of risks associated with poor corporate governance.

In addition to her teaching and research experience, Marion has over 20 years industry experience as a partner in a small manufacturing firm.
