Marius Pieterse is a professor of law at the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, where he teaches constitutional law and human rights law. His research focuses on urban governance, constitutional law, law and urban space, socio-economic rights and the use of rights-based litigation in the pursuit of social change.
