I am a Scottish-trained, Irish-based (human) geographer with a strong interest in inter-disciplinary approaches to problem solving. My research focusses upon the politics of local development and planning, migration and development, and Western power, both sovereign and governmental. I am the author of 2 books, have edited 7 special editions/sections of peer review journals and have published over 70 scholarly papers and reports (including nearly 40 in international peer reviewed journals).
