Mark Deady

Dr Mark Deady is Research Lead of the Workplace Mental Health Research Program at the Black Dog Institute and a Senior Research Fellow at UNSW. He has worked in the field of mental health and substance use disorder research since 2008 and is an international expert in workplace mental health. He completed his PhD in 2015, through the School of Public Health and Community Medicine at UNSW and has led a range of projects at a coronial, epidemiological, and clinical level. His primary research interest is in prevention and early intervention of mental health disorders, improving access to evidence-based programs through technology and the translation of research into practice, particularly in vulnerable populations including young adults and high-risk workforces. He has extensive expertise in the development of psychosocial interventions, digital mental health, online service delivery, and clinical trial evaluation. He has over 60 peer reviewed publications, 2,500 citations, and is a CI on grant funding totalling over $18 million.
