Mark Habgood is a Senior Research Fellow in the Department of Pharmacology at the University of Melbourne. He received his PhD in 1990 from the University of Southampton (UK) and worked as a research scientist in a number of blood-brain barrier laboratories before moving to Melbourne in 2001. Mark's current areas of interest are CNS trauma and the development of treatments to limit the extent of secondary tissue damage. Mark is also a Director of a small research company that has developed ride-on sailing simulators to teach sailing skills to both bodied and disabled sailors.
