Infectious diseases epidemiologist, Soulsby Fellow and One Health Postdoc, University of Liverpool

Dr. Mark Nanyingi also Lectures and provides mentorship in Public Health and Epidemiology at the School of Public Health at the University of Nairobi, College of Health Sciences. He trained in advanced public health epidemiology of infectious diseases at John Hopkins and spatial epidemiology at Yale; He has advanced training in infectious disease modeling from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. Previously he worked at the KEMRI-CDC and Welcome Trust in Global Health research. He is a one health consultant for WHO,FAO in collaboration Zoonotic Disease Unit (ZDU) where he routinely provides scientific and technical guidance to the Kenyan government on GHSA implementation, and capacity building in epidemiology. Nanyingi is currently consults for a Global Fund to build and strengthen Kenyas health ministry in national institutional capacity for data analysis and inform improvements in HIV, TB, and Malaria programmes for achievement of UHC in Kenya.
