PhD Candidate and Research Officer at the Department of Forensic Medicine, Monash University

I've trained and worked in public health for over a decade. Initially working on policy, reporting and program development in the area of perinatal depression and anxiety. More recently I commenced PhD studies at the Department of Forensic Medicine, Monash University, examining preventable and premature deaths of residential aged care residents. My research work also involves examining the barriers and facilitators to implementing dignity of risk principles into residential aged care policy to inform practice in delivering care that respects individual’s freedoms with the duty to provide protection.
