Martin Potgieter

Professor, Department of Biodiversity, University of Limpopo

Prof Martin Potgieter is linked to the Department of Biodiversity, University of Limpopo, South Africa. Although his primary research area is in invasive biology, he cultivated an interest in insects, notably mopane worms. He has also published much on ethnobiology, medicinal plants and phytomedicine of the Bapedi of the Limpopo Province, South Africa. He is currently the manager of the Science Education Centre at the University of Limpopo, tasked with science educational outreach to rural school learner communities.
