Mary Menton

My current research focuses on: 1) atmospheres of violence surrounding development projects and the experiences of environmental defenders in the face of this violence; 2) global commodity chains, environmental justice conflicts and the sustainable development goals; 3) how governance mediates the relationship between ecosystems and wellbeing; 4) forest governance more broadly.

I am a Research Fellow in Environmental Justice with the Sussex Sustainability Research Programme, University of Sussex.
