Matthew Campbell

Nutritional Science, University of Leeds

Matthew is based within the School of Food Science and Nutrition at the University of Leeds. Matthew earned his PhD at Northumbria University in 2014, and went on to complete a research fellowship working between Northumbria University and the Institute of Cellular Medicine at Newcastle University's Medical School. Matthew is also an accredited Clinical Exercise Physiologist with the American College of Sports Medicine.

Matthew's research is primarily focused on nutrition, exercise metabolism, and lifestyle interventions in diabetes. Matthew serves as a Scientific Advisory Board Member to a number of international diabetes organisations, has authored over 60 scientific publications, and his work informed clinical recommendations for diabetes self-management.
