Lecturer, Research Fellow, and Physiotherapist, La Trobe University

Dr Matthew King is a Physiotherapist, Lecturer, and Research Fellow at La Trobe University's discipline of Physiotherapy and the La Trobe Sport and Exercise Medicine Research Centre. His research interests include musculoskeletal conditions, osteoarthritis, and injury prevention with a particular focus on the hip joint and lower limb biomechanics. His research utilities biomechanical evaluations of the lower limb to inform and implement assessments and interventions for people with musculoskeletal conditions.

Dr King is a panel member of the International Hip-Related Pain Research Network (IHPRN), a collaborative organisation of clinicians and researchers with a special interest treating young active individuals with hip pain. He has also held appointments as a clinical consultant to the Transport Accident Commission and the Victorian branch of Sport and Exercise Physiotherapy Australia.
