Teaching Fellow in English (Contemporary and Postcolonial), University of Leeds

Author of 'Post-War British Literature and the "End of Empire"’ (Palgrave Macmillan, 2017).

I am a Teaching Fellow in Contemporary and Postcolonial Literature at the University of Leeds. I have previously taught on a range of English Literature courses at the Universities of Manchester and Salford and was a 2014 LHRI-Brotherton postdoctoral fellow at the Leeds Humanities Research Institute. My principle research interests lie in the fields of twentieth- and twenty-first-century literature, post-war British and Caribbean literature, Black British writing, postcolonial theory, environmental humanities and Marxist critical theory.

I have co-founded the Northern Postcolonial Network and I am currently developing a project on the relationship between trophy hunting and colonialism in literary and visual cultures.
