PhD Researcher and Graduate Teacher in Education, University of Bristol

Maxime Perrott is a PhD researcher at the School of Education, University of Bristol. Their research uses a mixed-methods approach to provide new evidence on how month-of-birth and school starting age are associated with children's assessment outcomes in the Reception year, and children's trajectories of socioemotional development and education attainment in England. As a Graduate Teacher and Research Assistant, she focuses on Research Methods training and supporting underrepresented students in Higher Education. Before moving into academia, Maxime was an Early Years Practitioner, and has a practice-based perspective and approach to research. As well as a passion for disseminating research findings to a general and professional audience.
