PhD Candidate, La Trobe University

I am an international PhD candidate at La Trobe University, working on a collaborative project between the Summer Foundation and the Living with Disability Research Centre at La Trobe University. I began my PhD in 2019 and am expecting to complete in 2023. The goal of my PhD is to provide an evidence base to improve the quality of disability support provided to people with disability, from the perspective of those with lived experience.

I have 6 years of research experience, including coordinating international multi-centre clinical trials, developing trial protocols, overseeing research governance, performing systematic reviews, collecting and analysing research data and preparing manuscripts for publication. I joined the Summer Foundation Research Unit in 2018 and continue to work part-time as a Research Assistant while undertaking my PhD. Prior to this, I was working in clinical research in the UK after completing my Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Psychology at University College London.
