Dr Melissa Bond is a Research Fellow and EPPI Reviewer Training & Support Officer at the EPPI Centre, University College London (UK), an Adjunct Associate Professor in Qualitative Evidence Synthesis at the University of Stavanger (Norway), and a Research Fellow with the National Institute of Teaching.
She studied a Bachelor of International Studies, Diploma in Languages (German) and a Graduate Diploma in Education (Secondary) at the University of Adelaide, a Graduate Certificate in eLearning through the University of New England and a Master of Education from the University of Adelaide. She is a member of the Center for Open Education Research, and defended her PhD in 2020, receiving Magna cum Laude. Prior to this, she taught German across Years 7 - 12 at Clare High School (South Australia) for 10 years, as well as Humanities, ICT, English, Music and Drama. She has also held key school leadership positions, including the role of Year 8 Coordinator, SOSE Coordinator, LOTE Coordinator and Daily Organisation.
Melissa was a Professional Learning Facilitator with the Goethe-Institut from 2008-2016 and has presented at many state, national and international conferences. She has a particular interest in student engagement, flipped learning, the experiences of mothers undertaking doctoral studies, and the use of educational technology in the classroom, including applications of artificial intelligence.
