Melissa Carr is a Senior Lecturer in Leadership Development at Bournemouth University. She has a background in consultancy and executive education, previously working as a client director at Ashridge Hult Business School.

Melissa completed her PhD at Cranfield School of Management. Her thesis examined neoliberal and postfeminist discourses at a bank and network marketing organisation. As part of this, she examined mechanism of control including how neoliberal spirituality was used as a way to constrain subjectivities and critique within this precarious form of work. Melissa is also a Chartered Occupational Psychologist.
