Remote Sensing Scientist and Ecological Modeller, University of Melbourne

Melissa is a remote sensing scientist and the founder of GeoRubix Solutions. Her research has primarily focused on the three-dimensional characterisation of forested ecosystems using light detection and ranging (lidar) data combined with traditional field-based ecological modelling. Melissa has worked in forested ecosystems spanning North America, Europe, Africa and Australia. Since starting GeoRubix Solutions, projects have utilized a broad spectrum of remote sensing data such as optical, hyperspectral, radar, and lidar across various platforms.
