Mengdie is a research fellow in the Centre for Advanced Spatial Analysis, University College London. Her research interests revolve around how people interact with artificial systems in the process of acquiring information, and how this interaction augments the user experience and influences decision-making. Her current work focuses on analysing and visualizing complex multimodal datasets for identifying outbreaks of infectious disease and their impact on human mobility choices, with research into user engagement techniques.
