Lecturer in Social Planning, RMIT University

I teach post grad Social Planning at RMIT in the Masters of Environment and Urban Planning and work as a researcher. I have a special interest in resilient communities, social justice and ethics of care. My doctoral thesis examined the institutional framework (law and procedures) for licensing of Poker Machines in Victoria and the lived experience thereof by communities. The research focused on ethics of care, social justice and case law. The thesis is publicly available via the RMIT Library Research Repository.
I have also worked outside academia: 1) I was a therapeutic counsellor at the Gambler's Help service for more than 6 years. 2) I have worked as a cultural diversity and inclusion planner with Greater City of Bendigo in Victoria - just to mention some examples of the work I have done
