Professor Political Science and Director of McCourtney Institute for Democracy, Pennsylvania State University

I study American politics and Direct the interdisciplinary McCourtney Institute for Democracy. I've published in multiple areas of American politics, including state and local politics, public opinion, and public policy. I am involved now in helping to administer the McCourtney Mood of the Nation Poll, a unique survey instrument that relies on open-ended questions about American politics. The Poll uses a national sample and is administered approximately every 3 months.
