Michael Fischer

Professor of Organisational Culture & Leadership, Monash University

As Professor of Organisational Culture and Leadership at Monash Public Health & Preventive Medicine, Health and Social Care Unit, I work with senior healthcare teams (executives and professionals) in transformative, cultural change. My work focuses on the role of relations, emotion and power in mobilising change.

I have a thriving consultancy practice (Fischer Consults) as an executive leadership coach and organisational consultant in the UK and Australia. I served as business school professor at University of Oxford, King's College London, and the University of Melbourne, and was previously a clinical director and lead consultant psychotherapist in the UK National Health Service. I worked at major teaching hospitals in Manchester, Liverpool and London, and held national roles in whole-systems (cross-sector) collaboration.

I hold a PhD in organisational culture and leadership from Imperial College London, University of London. I am an accredited group analyst and psychotherapist, and ICF executive coach.
