Assistant lecturer, University of Groningen

Michael is an assistant professor at the Department of Sociology and the ICS at the University of Groningen, the Netherlands. His general research interest concerns collective action and social integration in social networks. He uses computational modeling techniques to develop new hypotheses. To test these hypotheses, he gathers network data in organizations and conducts experiments in the field and the laboratory. Michael has taught model building, sociological theory, and research methodology in the undergraduate Sociology program of the University of Leipzig, the University of Groningen, and at ETH Zurich.
