Michael McElfresh

Adjunct Professor of Electrical Engineering, Santa Clara University

Michael McElfresh is an Adjunct Professor of Electrical Engineering at Santa Clara University where he teaches the foundation course in the Sustainable Energy program and courses in wind power and energy storage. Currently he is also the Interim Lead for Power Grid R&D at Argonne National Laboratory. For the past several years he has led the Power Grid Simulator effort and advised the Energy and Global Security directorate on power grid and other energy related issues.

Dr McElfresh holds a Ph.D. in Physics from UC San Diego. He also holds a M.A. in chemistry from Washington University and a B.S. in Biochemistry from UC Davis.
