Michael Nicholson

Professor of Transplant Surgery, University of Cambridge

Michael Nicholson is Professor of Transplant Surgery at the University of Cambridge, the Director of the National Institute for Health Research Transplant Research Unit, an NIHR Senior Investigator and a Professorial Fellow at St Catharine's College, Cambridge . His clinical interests are in the field of live donor kidney transplantation and, in particular, the use of laparoscopic surgery. His research group are investigating novel methods of organ preservation with the aim of increasing the number of successful transplants.
