Professor King is the Lansdowne Chair in Finance at University of Victoria’s Gustavson School of Business where his research is on banking and fintech, financial markets, and climate finance. He previously worked at Western's Ivey Business School (2011-2019), in central banking in Ottawa and Basel (2001-2011) and investment banking in New York, London and Zurich (1992-1998).
