Michael J. Sinnott, MBBS, FACEM, FRACP, . I am a retired emergency physician, an Academic Associate Professor at The University of Queensland Medical School and an Adjunct Associate Professor Science and Engineering Faculty, Queensland University of Technology.

I have published over 40 papers, 10 posters and presented at conferences around the world including the AORN Surgical Conference (USA), Australasian Association of Bioethics and Health Law (Australia), and WHO’s World Patient Safety Day (Malaysia).

I have been involved in the production of 3 Australian Standards, advocacy for change to hospital accreditation in Australia, USA and the World Health Organization. I was also a driving force in creating the Queensland Emergency Medicine Research Foundation, which has raised over $26 million for emergency medicine research teams

I have been translating medical research into commercially viable products for more than 20 years as the co-founder of Qlicksmar Pty Ltdt. With his background as a senior physician at the Princess Alexandra Hospital, Michael’s presentations include real-world insights into the attitudes of healthcare staff and how they affect purchasing decisions. I have consulted to the Queensland Government on safety and medical commercialisation.
