Senior Teaching Fellow in Strategy and International Business, University of Warwick

Dr.Michael Synnott joined the Warwick Business School in 2008 as a senior teaching fellow. A graduate of the London School of Economics (PhD) and Warwick Business School (MBA). He has spent a career in urban economic policy and strategy and has held posts as a policy advisor, manager and academic both in the UK and Australia. He joined Warwick Business School in 2008 as a Senior Teaching Fellow and is a member of the Strategy and International Group. Michael lectures in International Business. In 2012 he completed a review for the University of Warwick of the social and corporate issues surrounding HS2, a government led plan to create a high speed rail system in England. Last year, he led a major project in Birmingham looking at the corporate and social factors influencing the recruitment and retention of young talent in the Business and Support Services sector.

Michael has also completed consultancy projects in Mexico, China and the UK. In the ten years prior to arriving at WBS, Michael worked with Chinese, Russian and other overseas clients seeking to develop city level economic and employment strategies based around FDI
