Michael Weinold

Researcher, Cambridge Centre for Environment, Energy and Natural Resource Governance, University of Cambridge

I'm currently with the Cambridge Centre for Environment, Energy and Natural Resource Governance, working on innovation in solid-state lighting technologies. Our project, jointly undertaken with the University of Harvard, USA and the University of Minnesota, USA aims to shed light on the role of technological spillovers in novel clean-energy technologies.

My background is in engineering physics and solid-state physics. My undergraduate degree is from Vienna University of Technology, Austria, from which I moved to ETH Zurich, Switzerland, for my master's.
