Michaela Rankin

Michaela is Professor and Head of the Department of Accounting at Monash Business School, after moving from her previous role as Deputy Dean, International and Accreditation, where she was responsible for the strategic international engagement of the School, and in leading the School in its triple accreditation with AACSB, EQUIS and AMBA.

Michaela is a passionate and highly regarded educator, receiving a number of awards for teaching excellence, Prior to embarking on an academic career Michaela worked as an accountant in public practice.

Michaela’s research spans corporate governance, financial reporting, executive compensation and sustainability and integrated reporting. She is a past member of CPA Australia’s Environment, Society and Governance Centre of Excellence, and is a current board member of the Accounting and Finance Association of Australia and New Zealand.
