Professor of Comparative Politics. In addition to many articles and chapters, she is the author of four books, most recently, Tough on Crime: The Rise of Punitive Populism in Latin America (Pittsburgh University Press, 2019). Her book Policing Protest in Argentina and Chile (2014) won the Canadian Political Science Association's 2016 Best Book Award in Comparative Politics.
