I teach religion and social sciences, and literary critical biblical interpretation at the University of Sheffield. I am co-director for Hidden Perspectives Project at the Sheffield Institute for Interdisciplinary Biblical Studies.

My research involves sociology of religion, social identity, memory, studying contemporary religiosity, as well as applying literary theory in biblical studies.

I teach a range of courses related to social sciences and religion, as well as literary critical biblical interpretation, and run Sheffield's LGBT* Studies module.
