PhD Candidate, Addiction and Psychopharmacology, University of Exeter

A PhD researcher in the Psychopharmacology and Addiction Research Centre (PARC) at the University of Exeter.

Broad research specialisms:
I am interested in researching a myriad of prosocial processes in opioid addiction, including compassion, empathy and social pain. Under the supervision of Professor Celia Morgan, I aim to investigate the disruption of these processes among heroin addicts, and whether this could be due to chronic opioid use or factors that predate drug use - such as histories of childhood trauma. I am interested in exploring whether it is possible to remediate such deficits in these prosocial behaviours using psychological and pharmacological interventions.
