I research and teach US literature and television in the English Program, Australian National University. Living Screens: Melodrama and Plasticity in Contemporary Film and Television (2015) is my book about contemporary melodrama. I am currently completing a book on contemporary “brow” aesthetics while researching the papers of Ruth Park in preparation for writing a literary biography.
