Muhammad Al Mamun

Senior Lecturer in Finance, La Trobe University

Muhammad Al Mamun is a senior lecturer in Finance at La Trobe University. He received his Bachelor of Finance (Hons) degree from the University of Dhaka. He has an MBA in Finance from the University of Dhaka and an MBA in Human Resources from Victoria University. He earned his PhD in Finance from La Trobe University.

His research interests span empirical corporate finance, sustainable finance, capital markets and macro-finance. His recent work focuses on understanding the implications of finance in climate change and sustainability. His research has been published in the Journal of Corporate Finance, European Accounting Review, British Journal of Management, Finance Research Letters, Global Finance Journal, Energy Economics, Renewable and Sustainable Energy Reviews, Environmental Science and Pollution Research, Economic Modelling and Technology in Society.

Before joining the La Trobe Business School, he worked at Monash University, Victoria University, East West University, and the University of Liberal Arts. He has industry experience working as a finance advisor and 'finance director in several manufacturing companies.
