Researcher on the history of the Middle East. More particular emphasis on Turkey, Britain's role in the Middle East and diplomatic history.

After studying I spent some time working in the Czech Republic and Turkey, variously as a teacher, translator, examiner and a tour guide to friends. I moved back to the UK to pursue PhD research.
