Dr. Nadia Buick is an independent fashion curator, writer, and editor. She co-directs an online project called The Fashion Archives, which was recently awarded the inaugural Queensland Business Leaders Hall of Fame Fellowship. Nadia is one of the only freelance fashion curators in Queensland and has worked in partnership with institutions and organisations including the State Library of Queensland, artisan, QUT Art Museum, QAGOMA, Rockhampton Art Gallery, iAM Projects, and the Jean Brown Group. Her exhibitions have introduced significant national collections to Brisbane audiences, and she is a regular public speaker on fashion, art, and cultural history and theory. Her most recent project is Costumes from the Golden Age of Hollywood, a major exhibition of original garments, accessories, and ephemera currently showing at Museum of Brisbane.
