Dr. Nancy Lough is a Professor in the Higher Education program and also serves as the Director of Marketing for the UNLV College of Education. Prior to UNLV, Dr. Lough served as a sport management faculty member at the University of New Mexico, Iowa State University and Kent State University.

Dr. Lough has extensive experience in intercollegiate athletics including competing as a scholarship athlete and having worked as a collegiate coach in Texas and California, an Associate Athletic Director in Colorado, and Director of an NCAA National Championship.

As an expert in the areas of organizational leadership, gender equity, marketing and corporate sponsorship, she has published widely in scholarly journals and has been quoted in media outlets such as the LA Times, Wall Street Journal, Street & Smith's Sports Business Journal, Canada's Globe & Mail, Houston Chronicle and the Toronto Star.

Dr. Lough serves on the advisory board for the Penn State Center for Sport Business and Research, University of Colorado Business of Sport Certificate program, and the PGA Golf Management program at UNLV. In addition she has been an invited speaker and conducted leadership training for a variety of organizations. Her scholarly work has earned distinction with two publications featured in the Top 20 articles in the first 20 years of Sport Marketing Quarterly, in addition to selection as a Sport Marketing Association Research Fellow. Dr. Lough also served as the Editor for Sport Marketing Quarterly from 2010 to 2012, the President of the Sport Marketing Association (2013-2015) and recently published the Handbook of Sport Marketing Research with Dr. Bill Sutton.
