Dr. Natacha Godbout is Full Professor at the Department of Sexology, and External Professor at the Department of Psychology of the University of Québec in Montreal (UQÀM). Sje is the director of the TRAuma and CouplE Research and Intervention Unit (TRACE). She has received the prestigious Research Scholars Junior 1 and Junior 2 from 2014 to 2022. She is a licensed psychologist. Her program of research, her teaching and her clinical practice are centered around the impacts of interpersonal trauma on psycho-relational functioning in adults. Her research projects aim at developing integrative conceptual models to better understand interpersonal violence, to treat its impacts and to prevent its recurrence by identifying inherent variables of victims’ pathway.
She is member of the Interdisciplinary Research Centre on Intimate Relationships Problems and Sexual Abuse (CRIPCAS), the Équipe sur la violence et la santé sexuelle (ÉVISSA), the Sexuality and Couples Team (SCOUP), and the Groupe de recherche et d’intervention sur la présence attentive (GRIPA).
She has published 80 peer-reviewed articles in scientific journals, offered hundred scientific conferences and workshops, and co-edited the first French book on complex trauma.
