Natalie Pitimson

My research focuses on the sociology of death as well as new media and technology. My first book, 'Death and Society' will be published by Palgrave early next year and my current research project is exploring the role of mobile and app technologies in suicide prevention in young people.

I have been sociology course leader at Brighton for three years and previously completed my PhD at the University of Warwick, exploring the role of social media in anti-war activism.
