Postdoctoral Researcher in the Boyce Thompson Institute, Cornell University

I am a postdoc conducting research in the laboratory of Dr. Joyce Van Eck. I am studying the domestication of solanaceous crop species and the genomic elements associated with domestication phenotypes such as fruit weight and plant architecture. Our lab is using a CRISPR/Cas9-based approach to induce chromosomal deletions, as well as insertion of DNA through Homology-Directed Repair, in order to replicate domestication alleles in wild relatives of tomato.
