Director, What We Know Project, Cornell University

I am an historian, author, and researcher focused on LGBT policy and health, who has published widely in general and scholarly outlets. My most recent book, "Awakening" (Harvard Press), was a history of marriage equality. I currently run a project at Cornell University that aggregates LGBT scholarship through online literature reviews, and publicizes it for a general audience. Select recent publications include:

New York Times: “Is the Country Ready for a Gay President? Don’t Trust the Polls”
Washington Post: “Anti-LGBT Discrimination Has a Huge Human Toll. Research Proves It.”
Los Angeles Times: “The Military's New Transgender Policy is a Ban, No Matter How the Pentagon Spins It.”
Rolling Stone: “Stonewall’s Gift: 50 Years Ago Queer Fury Erupted and Changed the World”
Harvard University Press: Awakening: How Gays and Lesbians Brought Marriage Equality to America
