Nathaniel K Powell

Research Associate, Department of War Studies, Lancaster University

My research focuses on the history of postcolonial Franco-African relations, particularly in the realm of French security policy. I have published several articles on French relations with Zairian dictator Mobutu Sese Seko and on French military interventions in Africa. I have a forthcoming book with Cambridge University Press entitled "France's Wars in Chad: Military Intervention and African Decolonization."
