Dr Nawal El-Gack is teaching at International Studies and Master of International Development/ UC, prior to this she has been lecturing in the Development Studies Program, Massey University, New Zealand. Nawal’s areas of research focus on political economy, rural development, role of NGOs in development and human values. She has published on a wide range of areas. Nawal is the author of Rural Development and Microfinance Projects in Sudan: with Special Attention to Community Participation (2013). She is currently undertaking research on refugees/migrants and employment issues, and community inclusion. Nawal is actively involved in Government community programs. In 1990s she worked with many international development organizations, including the United Nations Development Programme, Food and Agricultural Organization of the United Nations, UNICEF and with many INGOs in many countries.
