Neil Adger is Professor of Human Geography at the University of Exeter. He is a social scientist with a focus on economic and social dynamics of climate change, resilience and vulnerability. He is a Highly Cited Researcher and Fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences. He has acted as a senior author for the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change and other international and UK scientific assessments of climate change adaptation, global risks and ecosystem change.
