Neil Davies has been a lecturer in the Department of Earth Sciences at the University of Cambridge since 2013, having previously held positions at Ghent University in Belgium and Dalhousie University in Canada. His research focuses on sedimentary geology - using the patterns and characteristics preserved in ancient sedimentary rocks to piece together clues as to how the Earth surface and life operated at different intervals from deep time.
